DESCRIPTION
Birch ply is made from the White Birch tree (Betula pubescens) which is a hardwood tree native to northern Europe. The white birch tree doesn't grow in Australia, as a result we import our birch plywood from regions that can support the manufacturing of this material. Because of its hardness, strength and resistance to warping at So Watt, we use birch ply for joinery applications.
APPEARANCE
Birch ply has a unique wavy grain that is akin to dappled water. Its pale and consistent grain makes for a refined addition to an architectural space.
AVAILABLE FINISHES
We finish our Birch ply in a low VOC water-based finish. Our finish range consists of 16 colours, 2 clear finishes and 1 stained finish. If none of our available colours match what your project needs, we can source custom colours for $80 per colour.
Get in touch with us if you would like to use this material in your next project.
