What is the pegboard shelf made of?
Our pegboard shelves are made from 19mm thick Australian made Hoop Pine plywood and carefully sanded smooth all over. Because the wooden shelf will only work on the pegboard panel sitting on the pegs, we’ve gone ahead and pre-fixed the Tasmanian Oak dowel pegs to the shelf for you, so that you can securely push it onto the panel!
How much weight can a pegboard shelf support?
On their own, the pegboard shelves are really strong. The smaller wooden shelf is recommended for up to 10kg, and the longer wooden shelf up to 15kg, without bowing. Having said that, this will all depend on how well you have secured your pegboard panel to the wall because the screws are the only thing keeping everything up!
How do l install the pegboard shelf?
You can install the pegboard shelf anywhere you like on your pegboard panel. The timber pegs push into the pre-drilled holes on the pegboard panel and the shelf has rounded pocket cuts that sit over the round timber pegs making it nice and secure. Don’t forget, the pegs are already pre-glued onto the shelf for you!
What can l use the pegboard shelf for?
Our wooden pegboard wall shelf has endless possibilities! With a really generous depth of 200mm and different lengths available, this wooden shelf is definitely the most flexible accessory in the pegboard collection.
In the home, our wooden pegboard shelf paired with the wall mounted pegboard panel and a few timber pegs will make a great hallway organiser. It’s also the perfect pegboard accessory to keep your smaller accessories like clutch bags or bangles in your bedroom or wardrobe.
