How big is the Desktop?

The idea of this desktop product is to be flexible, and be made to suit your needs. For this reason we offer lots of lengths and depths so that you can choose your perfect sized desktop. You can even choose whether you need a cutout along the back for your cables! If the size you want isn’t available just get in touch for a custom quote, we’re always happy to make custom desktops to any size!

Will l need to assemble the Desktop?

When the sudden need to work from home meant everyone needed a desk, it was all about finding something quickly. Now that this new style of working seems to be sticking around, it could be time to upgrade to something a bit more permanent. Our desktop allows you to re-use your existing table base or desk legs and simply fit your new desktop. Or we offer steel legs for you to create a whole new desk. Either way it’s really easy to assemble! If you are using our steel legs we send you an allen key which is the only tool required. The brackets for your steel legs will come pre-fixed to the underside of your desktop so all you need to do is screw them in and tighten them up. We’ve even made a video to help you, just scan the QR code on the instructions page that’s packaged with your desktop!

How is the Desktop different from the Rover Team Table?

The award-winning Rover Team Table has all the bells and whistles you could want or need for a workstation, shared desk or home office. This includes a cable tray with flush lid to access your powerpoints, and an ultra-durable work surface thanks to the scratch resistant antibacterial Fenix laminate from Italy. The base construction of the Rover is also very different as it comes with leg profiles that are designed to appear impossibly thin and light while being rock solid.

The desktop is intended to give our clients a really practical and simplified workspace so it’s as fuss-free as we can make it. Still using our signature style like the softened edges for wrist comfort and slightly rounded corners, the desktop uses off the shelf steel legs rather than our own birch plywood.

Instead of the premium laminate top, you can choose from any of our birch plywood colours in clear, cognac stain or one of 11 solid colours in low VOC water-based spray. All our finishes still allow you to feel that amazing timber texture and see a bit of the grain pop through.

What Product Can I Pair With The Desktop?

If you’re using the desktop for your work from home set up or in the office as part of a larger fitout, you can’t go past an ergonomic office chair. It’s important to look after your posture when you’re working at a desk for hours at a time, so make sure you read the reviews before buying any office chair! If you plan to use this desktop as a dining table, then go for it! You can fix it to some restored reclaimed table legs or turn it into a DIY project and make your own base to fit.
