Crafted Hardwood

Crafted Hardwoods is a solid hardwood made from timber that might otherwise be overlooked. Lower-grade logs and mill fall-down are rotary-peeled into thin veneers, then pressed together to create a strong, stable hardwood material.

Made in Australia, it’s a practical way of getting more from the timber already being grown, making use of parts of the log that might otherwise be destined for lower-value applications. The result is a material that keeps the natural character of timber, while making better use of the resource. Crafted Hardwoods is also made without added formaldehyde.

We use Crafted Hardwoods across our Bronco range for its strength, durability and solid timber feel.

Crafted Hardwoods has a distinctive linear grain, created by layers of veneer running in parallel lines. Unlike traditional plywood, the veneers can bend and curve with the form of the piece, giving it a more organic quality that follows the natural character of the timber. No two pieces are quite the same.
